How do I prepare for property styling? - Questions you should ask your stylist.
Employing a stylist to help you in preparing your property for sale shouldn’t be a stressful experience. You should feel comfortable, at ease and most of all - less stressed now you’ve got a professional in your corner to help. By working with Nestled Interiors, you will receive an obligation free quotation where we meet you at your home and walk through with you and assess each area of your home in order to formulate a ‘game plan’ as we like to call it. We don’t like to make it an overwhelming info-packed appointment but we do suggest you ask a few questions just to feel more at ease throughout the process.
1. How much will it cost?
Property styling may actually be more affordable than you’d think. We’ve discussed this exact topic on a previous blog post which you can view here. Whilst it’s difficult to provide a figure off the top of our heads as every single home is unique and some may require more than others, to give you a rough idea our packages start at $1500 inc GST.
2. How long will it take?
A few hours to a day depending on the size of your property and how much is required.
3. Do I need to leave whilst my home is being styling?
It is always much more efficient if the home is vacant of people and pets whilst the styling is taking place. We suggest to our clients to go out for a coffee and a bite to eat and we will call them to let them know when we’re ready (this always makes for a significant ‘wow’ moment when our clients return and see the transformation). Of course, we are more than happy to accommodate your needs should you need to stay home.
4. How long will my home be styled for?
We’re very flexible at Nestled Interiors and we can offer both short-term and long-term rentals. Our standard hire period is 6 weeks (4 weeks paid hire + 2 weeks free). This allows for a week either side of a standard sales campaign to allow for photography/marketing and the buyers’ cooling off period.
5. Can you store my unwanted items?
Whilst we’d love to be able to offer this service to our clients, we simply just don’t have the space in our warehouse. We can however recommend several local removalist/storage companies that will come and pack, wrap and store all of your items safely for the duration of the campaign, also with a cheeky discount for being referred to by us - win!
